Help for adults
Your assigned General Practitioner
Many people can get good help by talking to their GP about the challenges surrounding gambling. Your GP can provide advice, support and refer you to treatment services that specialize in addiction. These can offer therapy and counseling to help you manage your gambling addiction and work on any underlying causes.
The helpline
The helpline is an anonymous, low-threshold service for those experiencing gambling problems or relatives seeking advice. They offer conversations via phone or chat, and can refer you to relevant treatment centers. Read more at Helpline.
Blå Kors Gaming Addiction
Blue Cross Gaming Addiction offers remote-based treatment over the phone and digital platforms for adults who struggle with computer and gambling. You don't need a doctor's referral to use the service. Read more about Blå Kors.
Gamblers Anonymous (GA)
Gamblers Anonymous (GA) is a self-help group based on sharing experiences and mutual support. GA organizes regular meetings where people with gambling addiction can get support from others who have similar challenges. There are groups all over the country. Read more about GA.
AKAN
Do you have gambling problems that affect your job, or are you an employer who has employees who struggle with gambling addiction? AKAN offers counseling and tools to prevent and manage gambling addiction in the workplace. Their goal is to ensure early intervention and support in the workplace. Read more about AKAN.
Health Bergen
If you are affiliated with Bergen Health or Mid-Norway Health, you can use the e-Treatment service through the "Poeng" app. The method used is called "supervised internet treatment" for gambling addicts. Read more about Bergen Health.

They offer advice on how to find a balance between healthy gaming habits and everyday life, and provide support to those who find that gaming has taken over their lives. Children and young people are particularly vulnerable when it comes to digital games, and it can be difficult as a parent to know how to set limits. Barnevakten offers advice and guidance to parents on how to deal with their children's gaming habits in a constructive way. They also offer resources and lectures on safe digital everyday life.
